Update on Infant Hearing Assessment

As I summarized in a recent blog, and in the introduction to a “Future of Audiology” presentation, I gave in June 2014 a series of lectures in Australia. During this delightful journey, I was invited by Wayne Wilson to be a guest speaker at the University of Queensland where I was asked to speak one night to regional audiologists on the topic of infant hearing assessment. I was impressed that close to 75 audiologists took time to come to the beautiful University of Queensland campus after a long day on the job. I used the accompanying PPT presentation in giving this lecture. It offers a brief overview of the topic. You’ll find among the Lecture Topics page a more detailed version of this lecture that provides additional explanations for the objective test procedures that are essential for infant hearing assessment.
