Aural Immittance Measurements

Aural immittance (impedance) measurements of middle ear function and the acoustic reflex are an important component of the audiologic test battery. As objective measures, they are essential for the auditory assessment of infants and young children. Here you will find a PPT presentation on electroacoustic measures that includes an update on acoustic immittance measures, including clinical applications of acoustic reflexes, and an introduction to wide band power reflectance. You can also review a recent Page Ten (The Hearing Journal) paper on acoustic immittance measurements. You also might want to purchase my recent book co-authored with South African colleague Dr. Wet Swanepoel Objective Assessment of Hearing.
