Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder (ANSD)

Auditory neuropathy, or now more properly called ANSD, is challenging to diagnosis and manage. Actually, children with various forms of auditory dysfunction and with diverse clinical findings fall within the general diagnostic category ANSD. There is an excellent recent monograph on the topic available from Denver Children's Hospital. A Google search of the term "auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder" will quickly yield more information, including an email address for ordering. I review ANSD diagnosis and management in several books, including the New Handbook of Auditory Evoked Responses and Objective Assessment of Hearing. As noted in the description of ECochG, a review of ANSD is also included in PPT presentations.
